What is it about stunts that draw us in so? It might be the fact that so much risk goes into doing something that has very little real-life application, but that’s not what you’re thinking when you’re playing City Stunts. You’re playing because you want to drive fancy and powerful cars with seamless abandon and see just what you can do. It may just be a digital recreation, but there is a skill that goes into pressing the buttons in certain ways to make the cars do incredible things. Sometimes that involves flipping out and crashing through a 5-storey window, but those are the risks that go with trying to be a stunt driver of sorts.
About City Stunts
Stunt games are supposed to be about the stunts with whatever vehicles you have being a nice bonus to your efforts. This game gives you access to a bus of vehicles and lets you loose upon a city that the average person wouldn’t dare to live in. The good news is that you’re a stunt driver who is seemingly invulnerable to the dangerous sides of physics. You can drive how you want and your driver will always be better off than your car. Even so, continuously crashing doesn’t make for a full stunt experience. Drive as best as you can and become the stunt that has always been inside you.
How to Play
City Stunts is a 3D driving game about trying to pull off stunts with various cars using the keyboard.
Controls
- W/Up Arrow - Accelerate
- S/Down Arrow - Decelerate/Reverse
- A/Left Arrow - Turn Left
- D/Right Arrow - Turn Right
- Spacebar – Handbrake
The goal is to drive around the city trying to land stunts without crashing your car. All of the vehicles are invulnerable and have good recovery but sometimes glitches can get the better of you. If this does ever happen, reset the scene or just pick another car.
Before the drive starts, you can pick one of many types of cars and vehicles (including a bus). After you’ve got your car, you can be dropped into the city and start driving. The city is made of a lot of tight corners and enclosed streets with some open areas scattered about. There are also plenty of stunt structures in terms of ramps, slopes, and loops to drive through. By hitting them right, you can get some serious air time and feel the stunts flowing through you to the steering wheel.
Tips and Tricks
No missions or tasks are waiting for you to complete so just enjoy the drive and see how far you can launch yourself. The driving can take some getting used to, so practice maintaining control at top speed. Crashing can look cool but spinning out is no fun.
